As July came to a close, I realized that this month I mostly bought skin care items. Honestly, in the summer heat, I seldom want to wear makeup and would like to go makeup-free more often. That being said, I've recently been thinking seriously about my skin and how I take care of it. I was in a pinch and left with no face cleanser, toner, or moisturizer!

Miss L Fire, a UK based vintage inspired footwear company, held a 1940s makeup demo at their store in Hollywood. I attended this event two months ago but still thought it was worth sharing with you all! It was a fun time--complete with snacks, fabulous goodie bags, and a chance to chat with the creators of Besame and Miss L Fire!

Beauty Haul|The Makeup Show L.A. 2015

When it comes to makeup, I am definitely on the lookout for some new favorites. I decided to attend The Makeup Show for the first time this year. Geared toward makeup professionals, there were lots of free demos and opportunities to further your product knowledge and pick up a few tips from the masters of makeup. Among them were Ashanta Shariff, James Vincent, and Orlando Santiago. I'm quite satisfied with this haul. I went out of my comfort zone and went with some brands that I've never used before.

Product Review|Stila Pallette: In the Light

Stila in the the Light Eyeshadow Pallette |This was my first stila pallette and I really love it. The colors are very versatile With 10 shades to play with, I can get loads of different looks from this little guy! The color payoff is quite good and the texture is nice. I really like the mix of shimmers and mattes, it keeps from me looking too reflective, if you know what I mean.
